America250 Marker

On June 29, three local Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) chapters in Miami—Biscayne, Coral Gables, and Everglades/John MacDonald—joined community partners to commemorate America’s upcoming 250th anniversary with the official unveiling of the America250 Patriot Marker and installation of the Miami-Dade 250 Time Capsule at Tropical Park. The ceremony was attended by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Chairman Anthony Rodriguez, DAR members, community leaders, and guests. The time capsule will remain sealed until America’s tricentennial in 2076, preserving the stories, achievements, and cultural spirit of today’s Miami-Dade community for future generations. The America250 Patriot Marker honors the patriots who fought for American independence during the Revolutionary War and was made possible through the generous partnership of the three DAR chapters and the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation. The event celebrated history, service, and the enduring legacy of our nation.
